During our annual holiday raffle, we raised over $1,200, along with boxes upon boxes of canned goods, and hats & gloves! All proceeds will be donated to our local food pantry, the American Heart Association in memory of Putnam Plastics' employee Bob Danna who lost his life recently to a heart attack, and to help cover funeral expenses for Putnam employee, Anthony Laurenzo's son, Dylan who recently passed. Thank you to everyone that participated- we’re grateful to have raised funds for these great people and causes!
Putnam Plastics kicked off this year's running season with the Courthouse O'Putnam 5K. This St. Paddy's Day themed race was a great way to support our health and wellness initiatives, as well as our local commiunity. Thanks to the support of the Putnam Plastics Wellness Program, fourteen team members were able to enter and successfully complete the race. A special thanks to our wonderful wellness coordinator, Sara Gustavesen, who coordinated the event, offered training assistance, and cheered the team along the whole way. Good work and congratulations to everyone who participated! Photo (left to right): Paul Combs, Brian Beshaw, Kate Seaward, Brad Rabitor, Hannah Bosma, Frank Bosma, Eric Bellisario.
In the spirit of the holiday season, the Putnam Plastics family spread some holiday cheer to local families in need. This year, we adopted a five year old boy, a nine year boy and a twelve year old girl, as well as ran a hat and glove drive. Generous employees' donations not only fulfilled but exceeded our adopted kids' wish list this year.
Along with partaking in the adopt-a-child program, Putnam also ran a hat and glove drive. The hat and glove drive was held during our holiday luncheon where over 100 hats and mittens were donated! All donations will be donated to the local Killingly School system and given to children in need this winter.
A big heartfelt thank you to all who donated! Happy Holidays!
Each year Putnam Plastics hosts the annual golf tournament at local CT National Golf Club in Putnam, CT. This year, to enter the tournament, employees were encouraged to make a donation. A big thank you to all that participated! Your donations raised $850, which was combined with two boxes of canned goods from our Halloween celebration and donated to the local food bank, just in time for the holidays! Donations were presented to the Daily Bread which is a food pantry out of the United Methodist Church in Putnam that serves residents from Putnam, Pomfret & Woodstock in need.
