This holiday season the Putnam Plastics family held a 50/50 raffle to benefit both an employee and a charity. A total of $667 was raised through raffle ticket sales. The winner of the raffle, Rick Lupien, took home 50% of the earnings while the other half will be donated to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. The Sandy Hook School Support Fund "provides support services to the families and community that has been affected."
The 50/50 raffle gave us the opportunity to not only help one of our Putnam Plastics family members during the season of giving, but allowed us to help those affected by the recent tradegy in Newtown, CT. At the raffle, CEO Jim Dandeneau announced that PPC will be matching the donation, totaling $667 to be sent to Newtown to support those affected by the recent devastating events.
As a Connecticut based company with many employees who have young children themselves, this tragedy hit very close to home. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the friends and families who lost love ones nearly three weeks ago. If you would like to donate, please click on the Sandy Hook School Support Fund link.
