“Connecticut Manufacturers: A Day in the Life”

Local Killingly High School students teamed up with Putnam Plastics for the Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (EAMA)’s 2018 video competition. This year, the competition’s theme was  “Connecticut Manufacturing: A Day in the Life”. This video series highlights Eastern Connecticut companies’ new & advanced manufacturing technologies, trends & processes. The goal is to “engage and excite high school students about the opportunities available in local manufacturing companies.” A total of 13 teams from 12 schools are participating in this year’s competition.

EAMA is a group of over 50+ manufacturing companies and educational institution in New London & Windham counties that promote networking, manufacturing career awareness/programs and training opportunities. The organization “coordinates this program to bring local high school students and manufacturers together to educate students on the career opportunities in manufacturing and to provide information on the skills required to be successful in the manufacturing field.”
